Compassionate, Evidence-Based Care

My approach is caring, collaborative, and deeply human. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical—something that helps you understand what you’re feeling while also giving you tools you can use in daily life.

About

Katharine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 8 years of experience in outpatient, school, and hospital settings. At Benchmark Counseling, I support emerging adults (18-29) and adults (30-65), and couples who are navigating the emotional, relational, and personal challenges that come with life’s many transitions. Many of my clients are dealing with stress, anxiety, grief, or the lingering impact of trauma and are looking for a space that feels safe, grounded, and validating. I also enjoy working with women experiencing health-related challenges, including sexual health concerns, chronic illness, fertility-related experiences, and the emotional impact of medical diagnoses. Whether you’re processing something recent or something you’ve carried for a long time, my goal is to help you feel less alone, more supported, and more connected to yourself. Common experiences clients come to me with include: Grief and loss Trauma and emotional overwhelm Stress, anxiety, perfectionism, and burnout Identity, life transitions, and self-worth struggles Women’s health and sexual health–related concerns Relationship stress Feeling “stuck” and wanting meaningful change If you’re feeling lost, exhausted, hurting, or simply ready to understand yourself better, this is a place to slow down, breathe, and begin to heal.
